Here at The Detroit I Love I don’t have favorites. There is no Best Of for me, but there are standouts that represent the flavor of what makes our city special, elements of Detroit that define what makes it unique. These people, organizations, and places are what inspires us to do what we do, they are what makes our city unlike any other.

When asked what the Detroit they love, all of them focused on community. All of us, new and old Detroiters, are drawn to each other and this city because of this. We are misfits, outcasts, colorful, diverse, and unique. It’s hard to describe what makes our city so special, but these people/organizations exemplify it.
